With a high number of post reactions on her pictures, Tebenguni Simelane is proving to be a step closer to the crown. This is just after Miss Eswatini began to publicize its contestants through its social media pages marking the beginning of the race. This year's Miss Eswatini is surely to be the most majestic one. The event has scooped the opportunity to be sponsored by a very prominent China based company that has invested huge amounts in the event.
40 worthy candidates will compete with their beauty for the top three spots with only one walking away with the grand prize. Along the competition, the candidates will be required to perform different tasks and be in different attires which will all be included in their score sheet to determine the final top three. Tannia Nunn walked away with the previous year's (2022) Miss Eswatini crown while Shanice Mamba became her runner up. However, Shanice took over the crown after Tannia left the country to pursue her tertiary qualification abroad.
Only 12 contestants have been publicized to date. One of them will walk away with a brand new BMW i3 amongst other prizes. During the official opening of the event, Oukitel Eswatini announced the addition of E50 000 cash prize for the winning queen. Smart phones, beauty hampers and jewelry are also some of the items that will be shared by the winners of the pageant.
This will be the 31st edition of the event. The first Miss Eswatini pageant is recorded to be held on the year 1975. Within the years, the pageant has experienced changes in trends and styles with the change of times. It has also experienced an increase in the number of interested contestants. This year's Miss Eswatini pageant is sure to be the best yet.
