MTN Eswatini have once again proved her love for the entertainment industry in the country after pumping in E400 000 to run this year's SWAMA music awards and starting the short but life changing battle between artists in the country. This is after it opened the voting lines for nominations.
The Voting lines were opened on the 12 of October a week after MTN unveiled their total budget for these awards. Artists positively responded to the call as without hesitation they began campaigning for votes. This years SWAMA features 22 categories in which artists can partake in including the song of the year category, album of the year and best music video.
The 4th MTN SWAMA Music Awards will however be different from previous awards. Due to the effects of COVID 19, this year's music awards will adopt the new normal, digital migration just like the rest of the world #AsibeDigital
According to a twitter post by MTN Eswatini, in order for a person to make a nomination he must send an sms to 76286161, complete with the artist's name and category. Artists and fans are free to send nominations only for material released between May 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020. The deadline for nominations is on the 23th of October 2020.
